Once upon a time, Heaven needed a Demon.

People don't die as much as before. Saddeningly, you can't exactly fire Death Collectors. Their number rises as the human population does as well. Unfortunately, this made them grow quite lenient with their job. They've become even more so as humans find more ways to combat death inducing things. Because of this, the Council of Heavenly Figures made a contest: the first Death Collector to collect one million human souls will be granted five wishes by the council. This would be easy if not for the over three billion of Death Collectors clawing at each other to get human souls. Unlike most, a Death Collector called Aku is peaceful. He doesn't want to participate in this contest. Unfortunately, he was coerced into doing so as a fairly new Death Collector called Tenumi asked for his help to win this contest. Tenumi only had one method of travelling besides the over world. He can only travel in the Spiritual realm. That would be the fastest way to travel but he can only keep his spiritual form for a for a few seconds. He is unlike Aku who can travel in Over World, Spiritual, Heavenly and Sinful realms easily. Aku helps Tenumi with his journey, not knowing about his five wishes.
