A darker shade. A darker life. A darker heart. | SEQUEL TO BLUE | His eyes were cold, she turned them warm, but then she left, and their iciness returned. This time, it isn't a bright and obvious ice in his blue orbs, it's an obscure darkness - where a sick and threatening pain lay involuntarily behind them. He was a troubled boy, she helped him, but then she left, and his difficulties returned. Now, it isn't being called into the principal's office twice a day, or stealing a car every now and then, it's beating up an innocent man on the streets, it's forgetting his family, it's intentionally hurting HER. His heart was frozen, she thawed it, but then she left, and its stone slates returned. Before, he showed no emotion, just a hard expression that could make anyone feel intimidated if they received it.
