I never wanted to leave Shawn, not the first time when I left for California to persue my dream, or the second time when I left after seeing him seemingly so happy with Hailey or even today but somehow it always seemed like the right thing to do, and as Shawn kisses the top of my head softly whilst wrapping his arms tightly around me I feel a darkness drawing in. The way he holds me tighter than he ever has before tells me that he feels it too. Squeezing his fingers which are laced between my own I swing my legs around and sit up on the edge of his couch, I feel him moving behind me as he brings himself up to sit next to me "Mila what is it?" His voice is quiet, like he's asking a question that he already knows the answer to "Today has been surreal" "All of it or just us?" "All of it. It feels like a dream... some parts have been more like a nightmare, but this... us, lying together like this, I couldn't have dreamt it, even in my wildest dreams" He smiles at me and then his eyes drop to his knees "Are you sorry?" I ask the question not wanting to know the answer, if he says that he's sorry for what we've done he will destroy me in a way that I will never recover from, but pressing his lips to mine our foreheads meet as he whispers "I will never ever be sorry for a second I spend with you"

Opening her eyes Camila found herself facing the crotch of a pair of black jeans. In her surprise she knocked her coffee cup causing it to splash drops on to her crisp white shirt and causing the tall brunette standing in front of her to chuckle. "It's not funny!" she pouted whilst grabbing a napkin and wiping at the stains that were already forming. "You should announce yourself instead of just sneaking up on a girl like that" "Okay then, consider this the announcement of my arrival, Shawn, from table 14" He nodded his head towards the table from which he had come. "And what can I do for you 'Shawn, from table 14?'" Camila used her lowest most seductive voice and was pleased to see his mouth twitch upwards at one side and his eyebrows lift in response "Well, seeing as how you have been staring at me since I walked in here I thought I had best come across and ask if I have food on my face, spinach in my teeth or whether I'm just having a really bad hair day" Camila tilted her head to the side and made a show of looking him over causing the lip twitch to grow in to a smile the likes of which Camila had never seen before, one she was sure had the ability to impregnate the entire human race, both men and women alike. "Well, 'Shawn from table 14', I am happy to report that your face is clean, your teeth are spinach free and your hair day is good" "Good... Mess free and handsome as hell, just how I like it" he winked at her and she felt her heart begin to hammer against her ribcage

"Camila, honey, this is Shawn, the new bodyguard. Shawn, this is my daughter, Camila" Shawn reached out to shake her hand but Camila kept her hands firmly by her sides as she gazed him over from head to toe. Black boots, ankle length black jeans, a white shirt opened far more than it ought to be when showing up to meet your new employer and a leather jacket, his chocolate colored curls fell over his forehead partly obscuring what appeared to be golden colored eyes. Camila snorted loudly. "He looks more like a playboy than a bodyguard" "Thankyou" the tall Canadian smiled down at her, looking genuinely eased with her insult "It wasn't a compliment" she huffed whilst turning her attention to her father "I hate him. He looks like he would sleep with every member of staff which will make things very awkward for me and he smells too much like Canada" "Fresh air and pine trees not do it for you eh?" "I was referring to the scent of bacon and maple syrup that seems to growing stronger every time you speak" "I'm a growing boy Camila, I have a big appetite, but you will learn all about that as we get to know each other" he winked and Alejandro couldn't help but smile as his daughter narrowed her eyes and cursed in Spanish beneath her breath

He left her a little too soon, and Camila was left to face the world ... alone.
