I took one look at him, a glance down at the butterfly pendant necklace dangling from his fingers, and brought my gaze back to his raven eyes. "It's you, isn't it?" My hands trembled as they reached for the necklace, but he pulled it away. "I don't know what you're talking about," I replied, trying to play dumb. I stumbled over my feet as he took hold of my wrist and pinned me against the bedroom wall. He scoffed at me with a smirk of amusement. "Who would've thought..." he stuttered, slamming his fist into the wall next to my head. I closed my eyes with a flinch. "I trusted you, Sunny. I told you all of that stuff about me, about the first girl I fell in love with. Little did I know that you are her. It makes so much sense now." I bit back the pain in my chest as he revealed my identity. I wasn't ready to let go, to lose him. "I'm confused, Julian. Who do you think I am?" His eyes turned from anger to hurt. "You're still lying! Meira! You're Meira Park, the daughter of a housemaid who murdered her own husband! The girl was presumed dead over seventeen years ago. It's all coming together now. Why Robert has taken such an interest in you." His mind was taking over, assuming only the worst of the situation. Hearing him say the name I once had felt like a knife through my chest. I hoped that one day we would meet again, Julian, but I never thought it would end up like this. I wish this ring on my finger would set me free from the past, but it only binds me with regret. I'm sorry... I'm so sorry. I took a deep breath before answering, "If I am her, that girl, what are you going to do?"
