As a civil war breaks out between northern and southern Thailand, both factions must recruit enough soldiers-including women-to fight. In the humble province of Songkhla lives the Austin family, consisting of Mr. and Mrs. Austin, their eldest daughter Charlotte, and her younger brother Matt. The Austins own a rice field, most of their income from rice sales goes toward funding Charlotte's education. As she prepares to graduate from one of the most prestigious medical schools in Thailand, her dreams are abruptly cut short when the southern military recruits her, forcing her to leave behind both her education and her family. Months of boot camp, being pulled away from home and exposed to relentless violence changes her. Coming from a family of rice farmers to becoming a surgeon is what drives her-not only for herself but also to make her family proud after all the sacrifices they have made to support her education. As the war intensifies, women are no longer confined to supporting roles at military bases; they are forced into active combat duty. Originally recruited to cook and help maintain the base, Charlotte now faces her greatest fear-taking lives when her entire purpose in life has been to save them. After being transferred to the Northern enemy border, she must work along side "Waraha" as the new base leader-Charlotte's old position back at the Don Sai Base. As tensions rise between them, they must decide whether to work together or against each other. As the weeks pass, shared experiences of anger, loss, and the deaths of fellow soldiers slowly begin to break down their defenses and walls. Their vulnerabilities show in quiet moments, and their conversations become a rare refuge from the brutality surrounding them. What begins as animosity gradually shifts into understanding...then something deeper.

To say Dr. Engfa Waraha loved order would be an understatement. She lived by routines-early morning runs, black coffee at 6:30 sharp, hospital rounds at 7:00, and silence by 9:00 p.m. She liked things clean, controlled, and quiet. Life as a surgeon demanded discipline, and she didn't just wear that title in the hospital-it was stitched into her soul. Everything in her life was precise, predictable, and preferably not pink. Then came Charlotte Austin. A wedding planner with a chaotic schedule, a colorful wardrobe, and a voice that always carried laughter, even in the middle of a storm. Charlotte was sunshine in human form-bright, disorganized, and constantly leaving a trail of glitter and half-drunk lattes behind her. She cried at every wedding, sang while she worked, and believed that love was life's greatest adventure. Their paths should've never crossed. But fate, or rather a very unfortunate (or blessed) apartment mix-up, had other plans. Now, thanks to a double-booked lease, they were stuck sharing a charming little townhouse in the heart of the city. Just until things got sorted, of course. Just for a few weeks. Engfa swore she could survive anything for a few weeks. But as mornings filled with Charlotte's humming, late nights turned into long talks, and the scent of peonies replaced the sterile sting of antiseptic... the doctor started to question whether order really meant peace. And Charlotte? She began to wonder if maybe the universe had brought her not just a roommate, but someone worth falling for. FULLY FANFICTION ENGFA WARAHA & CHARLOTTE AUSTIN

Their lives collide when Engfa is forced to work with Charlotte as part of her punishment in school. To both of them, working together feels like a nightmare. They're opposites in every possible way, and neither is shy about showing it. Sarcastic remarks fly, disagreements become routine, and tension hangs in the air every time they're in the same room. But as they're forced to collaborate more closely than either of them would like, something unexpected begins to happen. Beneath the banter and bickering, they start to see each other in a different light. Before they realise it, the animosity between them starts to soften, replaced by an undeniable attraction that neither can ignore. The more time they spend together, the more they realise that their differences are what make them perfect for each other. But just when they thought they found themselves destined for each other, a storm would hit their newfound relationship. Are they strong enough to face whatever destiny throws at them?
