Three months ago, a thick, white powder covered the Earth overnight. Not snow, but spores, hundreds of spores, all from an unknown source. Those that came into contact with the substance became spore-touched: violent, uncaring, every one able to turn into plants hundreds of feet tall and rip apart the world itself. Three months ago, Mya lost her humanity, and with it, everything she knew. Not all at once, but every day is another memory gone, all washed over by new instincts, identities, and wants. In a city slowly being torn apart by the massive vegetation of her new kind, her options either to join their collective, or escape with what remains of herself, her days are spent surviving, and hiding amongst Humans. Humans that will burn her alive the second she's caught. The only thing she has is a water bottle and the goals of her former self, but the likelihood of achieving them in a post-apocalyptic world is bleak enough, and that's if she can still remember them by the end of the week. So when another spore-touched offers to take her to a supposed safe haven, all with the hope that they both can be turned back, she takes it. Not because this new companion seems like the most trustworthy person, not because they can promise to stop her from becoming a monster- She takes it because there's nothing else to choose. ONC Entry for 2025. Prompts used: 68., 103., and perhaps a little of 134.

Short poems that contain imagery or themes from high/dark fantasy or whatever inspires me. I'll add to this collection as inspiration strikes, but each poem is a standalone. As such, it's always complete even though it'll never be complete.

When the king of Aizasea is assassinated, eighteen-year-old Celvene is wise enough to keep her head down after witnessing the attack. As a circus mage, she has no business in politics - until the next ruler is selected by ritual, and Celvene is the sole soul capable of wielding the king's sword. Declared the destined queen, Celvene expects to rise... but her kingdom has other plans. With their mortal enemy continuing to strike the city, the people yearn for a more ruthless leader, and the brutish general Aleksandr is hellbent on seizing the crown for himself. On top of that, forbidden and deadly magic begins to blossom in Celvene's heart, threatening to unravel all she holds dear. Mirai comes from a long line of witches who have been particularly gifted in using their inner sight. As such, she's trained her sight from a young age. She's always been a disappointment, however, as the only thing she's ever been able to see is the vague image of a girl. On her 18th birthday, Mirai discovers a mark on the back of her neck displaying the number thirty. From her first proper vision, she deduces that unless she finds the girl before the number reaches zero, both of them will die. Only being able to depend on her less than mediocre skills in seeing the future, Mirai sets out to find the girl before the time is up. Little does she know of the trauma the girl has suffered, nor that finding her is only the beginning. ---------- Mature rating due to: smut, violence, suicide (happens in the prologue while POV-character has her back turned), rape (happens in chapter 30 and will be mentions of it afterwards, fade to black, there will NOT be a trigger warning at the beginning of the specific chapter), violent death of babies, some rather bloody scenes, self-harm, extreme guilt. Note that a major part of this story focus on healing from and learning to live with trauma, so though you could potentially read it but skip some specific parts, if you're not comfortable reading something that deals with the listed topics, then this book won't be for you. ---------- This series will contain the following volumes: Volume 1 - Zoe, the witch of innocence (completed) Volume 2 - Crimson, the witch of night (completed) Volume 3 - Morana, the witch of life (completed) Volume 4 - Mirai, the witch of sight (completed) Volume 5 - Danae, the witch of light (ongoing) Volume 6 - Rheseis, the faerie of love

As the recipients struggle to understand their gifts, they must also contend with the unpredictable visits of Jasper, who keeps dropping unexpectedly into their world. 𖤓 Now featuring 55% more plot than originally intended.
