This is a modern day fanfic based from the TV show 'Avatar: The Last Air Bender'. I own none of the characters, just the plot....sadly. Katara is in need of a job to support her older brother and herself as their mother died when she was young and their father is away in the army. When a very popular cafe are hiring, Katara jumps at the chance. The cafe is owned by Iroh, as well as ran by himself and his nephew/charge, Zuko, who moved in with him when he was 15. They're hiring and happily invite the newly employee to their work family. What they didn't know was that Katara was literally going to become family to them. Read to find out more.....

"I'll save you from the pirates." Katara ran into the back of his chest. She mentally cursed herself. She quickly bent some water to freeze on the fire prince's feet. It bought her just barely enough time to bend water to carry her away. Then the water began bending back towards the shore. One of the pirates was a water bender. They pulled me under and wouldn't allow me to take a breath of air, they crashed my body against the rocks several times before finally allowing me up. When I broke through the surface I took a deep breath. Zuko reached in and dragged me out, tying me to a tree. "Where's the Avatar?" He asked. And that's where it all began..... Under Editing!
