Sequel to Intoxicating (original ending) Olive Good, American portraitist, is given the task to to paint the portraits of the 52 lives lost at The Battle of Hogwarts. It is tradition for witches and wizards of note to sit for portraits, so their legacy can be retained long after they've passed, hence why Hogwarts is covered in the frames of countless figures from wizarding history. But while each painting has its own unique personality true to their sitters' real lives, some are more textured than others. Since the people that are being painted can not be present for the painting process, Olive has come up with a process through meeting with all the families to learn as much as she can about them, to make the paintings as lively as they were when they were alive. This is where she meets a certain twin, who she helps grieve the loss of his brother and best friend. She gives him closure, and he gives her something she never expected, love. Maeve, was a quite unique girl. Whoever witnessed her smile or laugh was instantly intoxicated by her presence, and thats what happened to a particular twin who's eyes had been roaming the Great Hall when he laid his sight on a particular Hufflepuff. She grew up learning from a young age that she was a witch. Her parents surrounded her with magic and Magical Creatures. Her grandfather left her dad his studies and animals. Her first pet was a Puffskein, not your average household pet for most, but for her it was just perfect. Except when it stuck its tongue up her nose when she was napping. But none the less, she grew up happy and surrounded with love and magic. She knows that her last name is kind of out there, people stop her parents all the time saying that they respected her grandfather and his findings. She's read his book a bunch of times, but she didn't understand why he was so popular. He was just her nutty gramps who loved the magical beast. But I guess, because he showed the world the amazing finds we have in our world living with us, she could admit he was pretty cool.
