The captain of the ship, known as the Masked Pirate for he wore a black mask that covered his whole face, seemed like a stoic man to the public, but the twins quickly see his love for his crew. The twins believe that they had found the perfect family, and the best life. Until a deadly curse is placed upon the captain, and the crew has to rush to find an island that holds a fountain that can wash away curses before it's too late. The problem is that the island moves, and they're being chased down by someone who wants the captain dead. His parents broke up when he was younger. Dad always blamed him and he never visited his mom. He became friends with Lewis and Remus in the 3rd grade when they all met. They fell out in 7th and Virgil found Patton who took him to his friend group in 8th. Virgil never told any secrets. Janus 'Deceit' Sanders and Remus 'Duke' Sanders have been bestfriends since the split, though Janus acted as the responsible, adult one despite being the same age. Virgil moved to New York to try and move past his old demons that had been causing him to struggle in life since he was thirteen.
