This story is similar to the beauty and the beast story but takes place in modern times. Isabelle Beaumont is nineteen years old and absolutely beautiful. Her brown hair reaches all the way to her waist and her green eyes are breathtaking; as told to her by a very annoying and very stubborn Stephan. She visits her grandmother in France and is once again told the story of the untamed beast. The legend says that many years ago when knights and mythical creatures walked the earth there was an untamed beast who vanquished an entire kingdom and to this day still lives in the castle. It is said the only way to tame the beast is to show it how to love. Belle finds this childish but when her grandmother is taken by the beast her only choice is to take her place and stay. Will Belle be able to escape or will feelings grow?

HIGHEST RANKING #6 in HISTORICAL FICTION! --- For all her life, Lady Evie Verrick had been regaled of tales of the Highlands from her Highland born and bred mother. She had grown up dreaming of chivalrous knights, sword-fighting, horse back riding. Tales of kin and family, loyalty and the warmth of a home. But being brought up in a traditional English household with a traditional father, her mother was the closest thing to the Highlands she could get. And when her mother died of pneumonia before her coming out, left to her father's care, Evie wants now, more then ever, to see the promised lands that she grew up with. --- Connor Gilroy had served as the first in command to the MacKenzie clan for as long as he could remember. He owed his loyalty to his best friend and brother in arms, Hammond MacKenzie, who had saved him from being skinned alive by English soldiers years ago, before the truce was signed between the two lands. Having no love lost for the country, Hammond would be the only person who could ever convince Connor to step foot back into English lands. His chief had recently received news on the death of the aunt he has never met, but Hammond was a man of his word, and he had promised his father he would care for all kin, regardless of who they were. But Connor never would've imagined that the cousin of his best friend would be a spirit of the flames. The way Evie took on life and all of its problems with a passion that ignited a hearth, would perhaps be the first time someone ever ignited more then just passion and desire within him.

'She was a thief. She was a liar. She was his prisoner. And he'd just broken every rule in the book and kissed her.' Laird Anndrais McWilliam knows his father was murdered. He might not have been struck with a sword or pushed down stairs, but the woman who stole money from their clan killed him as surely as she'd stabbed a knife through his heart. And McWilliam has vowed he'll to do anything to bring her to justice, even if it means breaking the law...and his own heart. After Miss Rosa Blair receives a letter threatening her cousin's life if Rosa doesn't confess to a crime she didn't commit, she doesn't hesitate to turn herself over to the authorities. That is, until one bull-headed Scotsman the size of a bear kidnaps her in the name of justice. McWilliam is insufferable, refusing to listen to her pleas of innocence. Nothing she says will convince him her cousin is in mortal danger. Rosa knows McWilliam is standing between her and freedom. McWilliam knows Rosa is a thief and a liar. At every turn they clash, so why do they keep finding themselves locked in each other's arms? _________________ 'I rarely find books on wattpad that COMPEL me to comment and I stayed up all night to read this.
