There is always going to be that one person that you can go back to over and over again. No matter how pissed off they make you, you can go back to them. That's how it was with Alex and I. We met in high school. Did I know that I would be with him forever? Nope. This is how we made it work, and became the power couple we are today.

Jack's parents are low key homophobic, but they don't argue as much with Jack about his bisexuality as much as they used to. However, now that the holidays have rolled around, they want Jack's (non-existent) girlfriend to join them at their lake house getaway for Christmas. Jack, tired of their passively homophobic bullshit asks Alex to be his fake fiancé, all for a prank. But will this little lie turn into something bigger?

{Can be triggering} Alex isn't happy with his life, one day he decides he'd had enough and attempts suicide, in a panic his parents take him the hospital and manage to save his life. When he wakes up he's told his parents have signed him into a mental ward, as he's walking around he meets a strange boy named Jack. After getting to know him he wonders why he's here, little does he know he's even worse off than he is.

So let me introduce myself. No, there is nothing seriously wrong with me, I just happened to be in a car crash at 21 years old. This then resulted in me being in a coma for a year and loosing 5 years of my memory. Great right? The doctors said I will be able to remember specific events one day, but who knows? I rarely get these moments. I guess this is my adventure that isn't very adventurous and probably rather boring. You be the judge. They split, leaving them to share their own daughter, but Jack is at his breaking point. Things soon get back on track, but after Jack finds out some life changing news, he's not sure if he can tell Alex, for the fear of being kicked out of his life for good.

I did change the time this story is set in, because I realized that I can't go forward when I don't know what's happening in 2020, let alone 2021. So, it's now 2017. Either way, story doesn't change.

Alex moves back to Baltimore after having to leave for his brother to go to therapy. But when it only makes him worse they decide to move back. However only Alex and his mum this time. Jack is Alex's old friend but just how much does he remember about Alex? And how does he react when he finds out he's gay too? With marriage looming deeper into the book will it go through? Or will someone have other ideas...
