Three years after the death of Kristina, Michael is still adjusting to being the single parent of a now nine-year-old daughter while continuing to struggle with keeping a healthy mental state. Tired of dealing with his overbearing sisters and mother doting over his mental health, he moves with Olivia back into isolation at Neverland Ranch. However, Olivia wants to get back into public school and go back to living like a normal child again. Managing his music projects and Olivia's schooling becomes too much and he's forced to hire help.

It's 1999, and Michael is doing a series of charity shows in Seoul. Michael vows that he loves Bernadine his wife of ten years, more than anything, but being on tour brings out the worst in him. With the young beauty Shana, giving him an exciting reminder of what it is to be a young man on the road, Michael has to decide where his priorities lie.
