People have mixed feelings about the famous Maruders. Peter was a traitor, and not worthy of their friendship, yet was a calming influence to his lively friends. Remus was boring at times, yet was outstandingly smart, and kind. Sirius was cool as a cucumber, but was haughty and constantly sarcastic. James was funny and popular, however he bullied people, and showwed off a lot. People are starting to notice these flaws, and the very group is splitting down the middle, and unless they learn to change, the famous Marauders may not go down in history as the best friendship group at Hogwarts after all.

I'm basically just a pile of wolfstar trash :)) This is an AU fic, and will be posted on my ao3 account and fanfiction.net as well. (assuming its reception on here is good, kinda like a beta test) It's simply about two boys who are just about adults - Sirius Black and Remus Lupin. Sirius works as a car mechanic, and Remus needs to get his friends car fixed before she's back from her holiday; as an angry Lily Evans is not something you want to come across. James Potter will agree with me on that. What follows is a series of unplanned encounters that seem a little too coincidental, texting convos well into the early hours of the day, midnight walks, childish dates and everything in-between. But both boys have pasts, neither of them are perfect and between them, there are a lot of hurdles to overcome.

In which, Remus Lupin is a fresh-faced wallflower just out of college, supporting his community in miniature efforts, as to not get noticed. Sirius Black, maybe not as fresh-faced but still just out of college, is, let's say, a little bolder. He's happy to be noticed - even happier when it's the freckled boy that hides in the library.
