Link is known to be a man of few words. In this case, it is completely true. He has been mute since he was very little, no one knows why. As you can probably expect, other people his age are rather vocal, especially about him not being so. Zelda sees through it. She takes a look further to see who is behind all of the silence, but it doesn't work out how she expected it to. In this short story, Zelda is on her path to becoming a teacher. Her last hurdle is to be an instructor at a summer camp. The only problem is that she hates summer camp. In this fantasy AU, Zelda is an alchemist hunter. She finds and harvests magical ingredients. (Think... catching a frog in botw, and her fascination with ingredients and their effects.) She also has light magic. Link is a new apprentice to a witch in a nearby village. (He's sort of a mix of Twilight Princess Link, and my own blend of Wild.) First person PoV, Zelda's perspective. Fantasy/Magic Zelink AU, set in my original world. So I can sorta still feel like I'm working on my originals but still getting that sweet zelink I miss writing. Of freaking course it's a romance! On a person's pendant is the first name of their soulmate, the name of the person their soul is bonded to. When young figure skating prodigy Zelda and young ice hockey prodigy Link received their names at the same time and it happened to be the other, they weren't pleased and they were determined to keep it a secret and keep away from eachother. However, being in many of the same classes, having the same birthday and having extremely bad luck, the two just couldn't do so. Now there is a pair figure skating competition, and it just so happens that Zelda is chosen to partner with the captain of Hyrule's ice hockey team to represent Hyrule. All characters are owned by Nintendo.

Every summer Zelda is forced to go to her family's vacation home in the mountains, leaving her only friend behind. Link has been there for her for years, and she hates leaving him every break. Link was a bit of a problem child when he first started school, all he ever knew was the kindness from his best and only friend, so when faced with other nastier people their age, he didn't react too well. Skip forward a couple years and he's improved. Expressing his feelings however didn't come so naturally to him, so he decided to just... Go for it, in an extremely weird way, and just expect her to get it. He wanted to be nice to people, so he just accepted everything and went with what the other person desired. This was going well until he got himself in a rather sticky situation. (All of these characters are owned by Nintendo)
