In a fractured universe, the world as it is known is divided into three realms. The Living Reilm, a crucible of sin for mortals; Aetherna, a paradise for the gods; and Necrosberg, a desolate wasteland teeming with the restless dead. Crossing the boundaries between realms is considered an unforgivable crime. Once upon a time of peril, a vengeful young fugitive roams The Living Reilm. He has no time for gods or glory, only the cold comfort of revenge. Fueling his rage, he joins a guild of elite assassins, honing his skills and waiting for the perfect strike. But his world shatters when he uncovers a dark secret that threatens the fragile balance. A terrible choice emerges: embrace his bloodlust and watch the world crumble or sacrifice his vengeance for a chance at redemption. Will he become the harbinger of chaos or the unlikely savior? It's a question only fate can answer. ☆☆☆☆☆ ೋ | Reviews | Comments | Feedbacks | ೋ "Sounds exciting already! JOHN LAGO IS A HITMAN. HE HAS SOME RULES FOR YOU. AND HE’ S ABOUT TO BREAK EVERY SINGLE ONE. John Lago is a very bad guy. But he’s the very best at what he does. And what he does is infiltrate top-level companies and assassinate crooked executives while disguised as an intern. Interns are invisible. That’s the secret behind HR, Inc., the elite “placement agency” that doubles as a network of assassins for hire who take down high-profile targets that wouldn’t be able to remember an intern’s name if their lives depended on it. At the ripe old age of almost twenty-five, John Lago is already New York City’s most successful hit man. He’s also an intern at a prestigious Manhattan law firm, clocking eighty hours a week getting coffee, answering phones, and doing all the grunt work actual employees are too lazy to do. He was hired to assassinate one of the firm’s heavily guarded partners. His internship provides the perfect cover, enabling him to gather intel and gain access to pull off a clean, untraceable hit. Part confessional, part DIY manual, The Intern’s Handbook chronicles John’s final assignment, a twisted thrill ride in which he is pitted against the toughest—and sexiest—adversary he’s ever faced: Alice, an FBI agent assigned to take down the same law partner he’s been assigned to kill.

The following short stories have been 'written' by characters from the novel Soren: The Angel & The Prize Fighter. Beau Tolson, Bernadette Hale, and Casey Dummont – the teen writers of the stories you are about to read – are part of a paranormal story telling club called The Crypt. They recite spooky tales by candlelight in an abandoned chapel at the back of their school, while tucked up in sleeping bags and feasting on marshmallows. "The Picture of Dorian Gray" tells of a young man named Dorian Gray, the subject of a painting by artist Basil Hallward. Basil is impressed by Dorian's beauty and becomes infatuated with him, believing his beauty is responsible for a new mode in his art. Dorian meets Lord Henry Wotton, a friend of Basil's, and becomes enthralled by Lord Henry's world view. Espousing a new hedonism, Lord Henry suggests the only things worth pursuing in life are beauty and fulfilment of the senses.
