It's Ray's turn to shine. She lives in a house with eight guys. She's been getting incredibly passionate letters - supposedly from her boyfriend. There will be surfers, smoothies, words to make you swoon, and most likely some broken hearts. And sunshine. Because this is Paradise. This story is part of the 2020 Reading Challenge #WP2020. Adeline Preston may be a grade A student, but that doesn't mean she knows everything. She doesn't claim to. But she does know that she loves her parents and their never-ending support. Her best friend, Mia, is crazy in the best possible way. And volunteering has kept her from drowning in the drama that is high school. Now it's the last few weeks of summer before her senior year, and Adeline also knows she has a ticket booked for a volunteer trip to Rome. What she doesn't know is that a few guys in her grade have decided to tag along and will have her not only questioning her sanity, but also why her heart seems to be skipping an extra beat for a boy whose eyes happen to be the brightest shade of green. ©2014 ℓαℓαℓαℓαwriting *Fair warning this is my FIRST story and needs editing*

"I'm in love with you." How many times would I have to think about this, how many times, before she could hear it, feel it, see it in my eyes? "I'm in love with you." How could I make her see without telling her, without scaring her off... without losing her. I couldn't lose her.

Nolan, an unapproachable guy who ignores the existence of all his schoolmates, sleeps in all of his classes. Normally, this wouldn't be Chelsea Arnold's problem-she does her best to pay attention in class and attends gym like a good, normal student. Unfortunately, she just so happens to be his assigned desk partner in many classes. She's frequently forced to wake him in English class and ends up earning the unofficial title of Nolan's Wake-up Alarm-a title that nobody in the entire school covets. The last thing she wants is to interact with him more than she absolutely has to. One day, their gym teacher sends her to bring him back to class, which he always skips for some reason. When she accidentally shines her flashlight in his sleeping face, it triggers a chain of events that gradually intertwines their lives together. It's hard to be a normal student when you start befriending the school oddball. It doesn't help that he has more secrets than the Big Ben has stairs. ----- Complete. *CONTAINS MATURE AND EXPLICIT CONTENT* Have you ever met someone that made falling feel like flying? ~•~~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~ Preview: "Do you think, if you jumped from this roof - it'd feel like falling or flying?" I ask, keeping up with our theme of asking random useless questions that we've been going back and forth with for the past half hour. I stare at my feet swinging back and forth, looking down at the alleyway behind the building; pondering the question over in my head that I often wonder too much about. I glance over to Harry when he doesn't answer straight away and he's watching me with a look I can't read. "Unless you were a bird or could fly, it would just feel like falling. Because you'd know you were going to hit the ground" he decides to answer, staring at me like he's somewhat bothered that I asked him that. I look back down at the ground, and shrug my shoulders, "I think if you didn't care about hitting the ground it could feel like flying for a few seconds." ~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~ STARTED 11TH MARCH 2019 - ONGOING

Flying away to another galaxy is part of the plan. Falling for one of its natives is not. *** "If one day you choose to leave me, I'm not sure I will let that happen. I'm not sure I will be able to let you go, I'm not sure I can accept it, and moving on." His hands are moving the thin straps of my sleeping gown, sending it to fall into a puddle around me. "I'm not sure I can use my logic not to force you with all my power to stay with me." He captures me, one hand behind my neck and the other behind my waist. "Do you understand what I'm telling you?" *** 📚 Cover by @xazraex
