The year is 1975, and Voldemort and his Death Eaters are rising to power for the first time. Meanwhile, Hogwarts fifth years Eliza Smith and Rebecca Flint are both between two worlds, thanks to their muggle mothers and wizard fathers. Two students who have been classmates and shared a dormitory for years, but who have never exactly been friends, Rebecca and Eliza will soon discover that they have more in common than they ever knew, when they are forced together in a quest to save their school from untold danger. In their attempt to unravel the mysterious plot that's threatening Hogwarts, Eliza and Rebecca will face new challenges, and both girls will have to make choices about who they are, and who they want to be. While this is mainly an original story about original characters, canon Marauder-era characters like James Potter, Lily Evans, Sirius Black, Remus Lupin, Peter Pettigrew, Severus Snape, and others feature prominently. This book is paced similarly to an actual Harry Potter book, meaning the chapters are longish and the story will unfold slowly over the course of about 20 chapters. The chapters alternate between Eliza's perspective and Rebecca's. Obviously, I don't own the Harry Potter characters or world, but all original characters, plots, and details are my own, and cannot be reused, sold, of profited from without my explicit consent.
