"Where am I?" I ask. The boy's smirk only grows as he begins to take slow steps towards me. As much as I want to back away when he comes close, I stand my ground. I notice that his eyes are a shade of green that is so dark they could almost be black. I take a deep breath to try to ease my panic. I can feel my hands shaking at my sides. He gets so close to me that if I were to shift my weight I would nudge him. "If I told you, you wouldn't believe me." He sing-songs. I become annoyed with his mocking. "Well, then who are you?" I continue to question him. "Wouldn't believe that either." He speaks from behind me. What does he mean that I won't believe him? "Try me." I grit through my teeth. "My name is Peter." He says, finally stopping in front of me. I cross my arms and shift my weight to my right. "Why wouldn't I believe.." "Pan." "Excuse me?" I say, convinced that I had misheard. "My name is Peter Pan."

Peter, untainted by my rejection, took it as a challenge. A game, if you prefer. 10 days for me to fall in love with him which meant 10 days for him to prove himself to me. If I didn't reveal any feelings towards him by then, I was granted access off the island. But if I caved in to him, I, Amber Hawthorne, would never leave Neverland ever again.
