Basically Marinette, alix, chloe and Alya are spies and have to protect a girl named Kagami who is the president's daughter and can be used as a threat. They work at the Miraculous agency where there boss is Master fu along with his two assistants - Tikki and plagg. Adrien, nino, nathaniel, Luka and kim are spies. They all are playboys except Nathaniel. They work at the papillon agency or akuma agency. Their boss is Hawkmoth along with his assistants - Gorilla and Nathalie. Both agencies are rivals. The girls and the boys both have an mission - Protect Kagami from Hakuna

So basically some of the miraculous ladybug characters are the grandkids of some fairytales and are not any superhero and when they find out who they are actually. They go to regal academy!
