This story tells the final chapter in the life of Montresour as he struggles with what he did to Fortunato.

A short excerpt about the fight between being sane and insane during something very simple.

Once upon a time, there was a bird. A very smart, beautiful crow who had befriended a boy with no family besides his sister. But what happens when the boy shares the same fate as his father and terrible things start happening to him, his sister, and The Crow.

A story by Edgar Allen Poe

This was an extension of Edgar Allen Poe's classic short The Tell Tale Heart. It was a prompt given to me while I was studying literature, and it's arguably one of my favorite creative pieces to stem from that class. Warning, of course. This takes place right at the end, so there's spoilers! I'd suggest reading the original piece (or even sparknotesing it if you want. It's rather difficult to get through the classics) just for comprehension of the events to come.
