After his caring mother is killed in a horrible car crash that should have killed Virgil as well, his father realizes that Heavens angels are trying to send Virgil back to Hell despite him not doing anything bad. Virgil is sent to his Uncle Patton's place to live and goes to a new school. There he meets an annoying kid who somehow befriends him, but little does he know the kid was sent by his father to protect him. The religious parts of this story is based loosely (very loosely) around christianity. Pairings will be prinxiety, logicality, and demus, if it's not your jam that's fine you don't need to read. *Completed* Virgil Bell lives in a small village and has a normal life, and he was fine with that. His father is a scientist and inventor, and even though not all the villagers like Virgil he doesn't care. He thought his only problem would be dealing with Lukas Gaston, the only other gay man in his village his age, but his life is turned upside down when he volunteers to take his fathers place as a prisoner in a castle that belongs to a beast. *Completed* Virgil has never had it easy, not since he was kicked out of his home by his own father. He's struggled to survive, and has fought for food. He sees what should have been an easy meal, some berries on a tree hanging over the river. It should have been easy to get it, of course the stupid branch had to break and he was sent plummeting into the river. Roman loves to sneak away from his colony and his fae duties to head to the river, he's always wondered what is on the other side of it. Of course, he and everyone else in his colony is banned from crossing it. One day though, a stranger with no wings and a tail washes up on the river bank. When he takes him back to the colony, he's put in charge of taking care of him. Thomas has inherited his home from family, it's in the middle of nowhere in a forest. It was nice, and not too far from his home is a nice river he can explore. Of course it can't be so simple though, since Thomas is in debt and could very well lose the home. Not wanting to lose a home that had been in his family for so long, he struggles to find some way to pay it off. With the Heart, they would be able to save their kingdoms crops and pull the kingdom out of the dark days. However, within a few days of traveling through the forest, they are attacked and lost in the forest, with only a servant and knight for company. Mal, a dragon witch, lives in the forest with her two sons, Janus and Virgil. Though the three are powerful, Mal made enemies with the fae who have ever since been trying to kidnap Janus for revenge. Luckily, or maybe unfortunately, they ignore Virgil for the most part since he was adopted. When they cross paths with the humans, things get a bit... messy.
