After an incident involving a mirror, Subaru is summoned into Lugnica with the direct order to avoid Emilia. Dropped just outside the capital, he's taken in by the Crusch Camp, and into a city hiding rot beneath its knights and nobility. Subaru can try to protect Crusch, help Felix, and mend the Astreas, but every step forward costs him something, and the person most at risk might be himself. Slow-burn Crusch/Subaru (ramps up later).
