Luke Hemmings was taken into foster care after his mother decided enough was enough. Enough of the bullying, of the fights, of the attitude, enough of her boyfriend abusing him because of being gay. Just enough. They'd drove for hours until they finally reached Perth. There Luke was taken into a home of a husband and wife and three other boys who were like him. They get along fine, but Luke gets along with one boy better than the rest. Will this make his current situation worse, or better?

Poor Calum. Every night, he fears sleeping. He's scared of what will happen, and if he will still be living when he wakes the next morning. In a way, he's becoming suicidal. He hates all the terrible things he sees and remembers while he's sleeping. But, when he goes to a new school, he finds the one thing that helps him forget all the nightmares and helps him stay alive. Luke.
