(Nightmare Before Christmas Fanfic) Jack had grown bored of living in this town. Though our favorite holiday is Halloween, we both grew tired of the same things every year. He had taken me before on a secret adventure through the woods, where he showed me the magical doors that led into the different worlds. Because of the Christmas experience I refused to let him enter any of the other doors, that is, until I found it.... the door of crimson and black with lilac glowing through the cracks. It was further into the woods and we had been picnicking when we found it. Something about this door intrigued me. Back at the town I brought Jack down from the hill and led him into the forest for our picnick, little did I know of the door that would change our lives. What lay on the other side changed the way we saw our world forever.

"How does the defendant plead?" The judge asked, his eyes peircing into my soul. "Insane!" I giggled, my lawyer glancing at me with worry filled eyes. The judge motioned his police men forward, "Take her to Severall's Asylum and have them contact her family." As the judge slammed his gavel, I was escorted through the doors to the awaiting police car that would be carrying me across the countryside to the mental institution. While I sat in the back of the car I began to gently rock back and forth, humming an unknown tune as my head spun with thoughts on how this plan would work. 'Wonder if they'll let me paint?' I wondered as I remembered my sketchbooks were at home. You see, I'm not really crazy. But that's what all insane people say, right?
