Rusty is on the run. Driven to desperation as the savage BloodClan claims more and more of the Twoleg town for themselves, he makes an unthinkable choice and flees into the wildcat-infested forest, where he may just prove to be the bravest warrior of them all. Safe Haven is getting depicted as an utopia, a place where eveybody can find themselves. While it's easier for citizens to see it as it gets potrayed on the TV, the truth is way more complicated. Rusty goes through his somewhat normal life hoping for the best. He knows what the problem is, but is to hopeless to do anything about it. Talking to Autumn seems like the only logical way. Will Rusty accept help from Autumn? Is there any hope for Safe Haven? Find out by reading the story.

All criticisms and suggestions are greatly appreciated and encouraged! This is based on Vivziepop's webcomic 'Zoophobia', all rights to characters belong to her. I should add that the events in this story do take place before Cameron arrived in Safe haven, so there won't be as many recognizable characters in this story. I do plan to make more stories that explore the expansive roster of characters but this one is a more experimental personal journey that focuses on character depth and world building.
