Jillian's senior year was supposed to be easy, but when her father's job causes the two of them to uproot their life and move to Byrendale, it doesn't take long to realize that the small town is still mourning a tragedy. Meeting Parker was something she didn't expect. He's an outcast, but more importantly, he's been accused of murdering his sister. The more time the two of them spend together, the closer they grow, and Jillian is able to see what everyone else refuses to - he's innocent.

Jackson Flynn Gates has everything. The looks, the girls, the money. He has great friends and his family loves him. His life is perfect, except for one thing; Grace Belle. Once upon a time they used to be great friends. She was his Angel and he loved her. End of story. That was until high school came along. Now his Angel has turned into the known addict in town, Gray. When Jack meets Gabriella, his whole player lifestyle is turned upside down as he tries his hardest to get her attention. He feels a totally different attraction to her, he doesn't want to just use her, he wants to keep her, he actually wants to be labelled the title of being a 'boyfriend', of being her boyfriend. So when Jack realises that his whole player reputation is what is driving Gabriella away, he requests the help of his best friend Alice to help him change and to help him prove himself worthy of Gabriella's love and attention. But along the way, his love, focus and attraction gets mixed up and now he doesn't even know which girl it is that he truly loves and which girl he wants to prove his worthiness to. How will he decide...but when he does make his decision, is it too late? Has he pushed the one girl he's ever truly loved too far? Let's face it, someone's going to get their heart broken...question is, who will it be?
