My eyes were literally glowing, there was no mistaking it. It was not a reflection of light, or any of the other excuses I had used or others had assumed. They were glowing a light sapphire blue color. It was not a bright glow, but it was definitely a glow. Glowing eyes were not normal. Okay, at this point I had to admit it, I was no longer normal. What was I then? For that, I had no answer [[Word count: 495,000]] Copyright August 2016. All Rights Reserved. Readers may not copy, alter, or steal this story. The aliens kill every human they catch, or in rare cases, put trackers on them to discover their hidden villages. When Natalie is caught in an ambush, she is unexpectedly released. But there is no tracker. The Saursunes have an entirely different motive this time. *** Run. Don't look back. When Natalie is trapped in an alien ambush, she is unexpectedly released. The first human to ever be let go. The Saursunes invaded centuries ago, and everyone knows that getting caught is certain death. Natalie is confused but grateful to be alive. As a porter, one of the few humans with the rare ability to teleport between special crystal formations, she must leave the safety of her desert village every day to help gather food. When other villages increase their raids on the Saursunes' farms, the aliens retaliate by hunting down every human they can find - except Natalie's group. Instead of trying to kill her and those helping her, they bring them food instead. Is it a trap? Or something else? Natalie isn't sure, but one thing is certain: the Saursunes aren't done with her yet.

Father Figure Dabi! & Child Reader! Originally on Ao3. Dabi stumbles across Y/N climbing her way into a dumpster, starving after not eating for days, and living on the streets with no sign of parents to keep an eye on her. He takes her under his wing, refusing to let a child suffer through homelessness on their own. Not like he had. They work through life together, learning about each other, themselves and building their relationship more and more along the way. After all, it was his chance to offer a less-fortunate child happiness and safety he never received growing up. (A self-indulgent fic with multiple chapters for me to work through some of my own life events, except with a decent parental figure.)

An eleven-year-old Mimi can see demons. She finds one feeding on a mafia boss, unconscious and bleeding out against her favorite breakfast dumpster. When she saves his life, he rewards her by forcibly taking her from the streets to adopt her. But Mimi doesn't want a dad. She just wants to go back to her parking garage, away from people and the demons that feed on them, which her new 'home' just happens to be full of. She's also not stupid enough to believe a guy who is practically a demon himself could make good parenting material, especially for an unwanted freak like her. And whatever happened to her childhood friend, the monster under her bed? Rated M for violence, some language, mentions of torture, killing people, uh, mature subjects...am I missing anything? The point is, it's not M for porn or inappropriate relationships. Just dark stuff.

Reports of abandoned children, roaming around in the wilds and refusing any human contact, were starting to become the hot topic. The humans who never encountered one of these children, deemed the reports nothing more than stories; fairytales designed to spook and scare people. But the very few that have spotted one of these wild and untamed children knew that these weren't just stories. They just didn't know the true nature of these wild, sometimes aggressive children. Feral shifters, abandoned at birth. Werecreatures that lived on instinct alone, until the were-community managed to capture them.

If not for her, then she would do it for the sake of her child. Silent and begrudging the hunter offered her his help, curiosity scoring through the back of his mind. What do you get when you mix a trader woman, a cursed werewolf, a dangerous forest, and a sadistic warlord? Nothing good. On her way home from a summer of trading, Olivia didn't want to hire a cursed werewolf as an escort, but he was the only one willing to guide her over the treacherous Navier mountains. Not only do they have to contend with bandits and dangerous animals lurking among the trees, but they also have to dodge unscrupulous war parties who are determined to track them down. They forgot one thing though - curses don't play by the rules. ---------------- Please note that this is NOT a love-at-first-sight or matebond werewolf style of book, nor does it have werewolf ranks like Alphas, Betas, or Omegas. This book isn't a horror story. It's more of a fantasy-adventure theme. This book has nothing in common with my other werewolf stories. Copyright March 2022. All Rights Reserved.
