Naruto had persevered and became a Gennin having experienced life and death and was on his way to achieving the acknowledgment of the people but that all came to an end when his teammate and friend Sasuke had deserted the village for power. Naruto who took his friendship with Sasuke seriously was unable to realize that such feelings weren't reciprocated especially when Sasuke had shoved the Chidori, a technique that he was fully aware was forbidden to be used on a comrade but Sasuke never cared only seeing another obstacle to his dreams of avenging his deceased clan.
