Ari's existence was a mystery. A simple human girl who could not explain the many things she had seen and lived through had even mystified both Lord Elrond and Lady Galadriel. Thranduil himself had become both enraptured and bound to her, not realizing that in taking this human as his beloved, that the future course of every single elf, not only in the Woodland Realm but upon all of Arda, would now be changed forever. ***** Many thanks to Lhiwel who wrote the summary for this story :)

On a voyage to Mirkwood to trade her blades for supplies she is caught in an ambush. Injured and taken to the healers in the palace she awakens to an odd child. Stunningly bright and curious she is drawn to him like a moth to flame. The stories he tells of his father and the longing to be near his father touches her. She finds in the boy a friend. Tragedy is not far behind when the boy's father arrives badly burnt and hopeless. She tries to keep her young friends occupied. Eventually she knows she has to help his father as well. How can she a commoner help a prince? Thranduil had felt dragon flame. He had survived but can this sorrowful maiden drag him into the light? (M for later chapters)

While fighting alongside her father Gil-Galad before the Battle of the Last Alliance, Celoneth meets the Prince of Greenwood, with whom she becomes very close. After losing her father in the battle, Celoneth must return to her homeland of Lindon in the north to comfort her distraught mother and to assume her duties as Princess. It isn't until many years later that she meets, and fails to recognize, the very same Elven Prince again. NOTE: I am trying very hard to stick to Tolkien canon, obviously that is impossible with Original Characters (Gil-Galad is not known to have a wife or any children in Tolkien's work) but nonetheless, that is my attempt. Also, I know the cover sucks, I'll probably change it at some point.

The eagle ruffled his feathers a bit before diving low under a cloud. Peyton laid on her stomach and watched the setting sun solemnly. ~ "Fili, Kili! Ever!" I cried, desperately. Whirling around in different directions, I became desperate to find them. They were all I had. The company. I was alone. Exactly what I didn't want to be. Lost, alone, and in the Mirkwood Forest. ~ "Tell me..." he began, "Why an Elf traveling with a party of dwarves, claims her innocence, after she assaults several of my guards." ~ "I am NEVER going to marry you. I am not YOUR PROPERTY. I am my own person. You don't own me, Thranduil. Now for god's sake leave me alone!" Here lies the second book in the adventures of the headstrong and rebellious teenager, Peyton. In this book she finds herself being held against her will in the Thranduil's kingdom for his own selfish benefits; for he holds a dark secret of her past, later revealed to her. It is now Peyton's job to figure out how to escape in time to help the dwarves on their quest and find her place in a world that's seemingly so alien yet so ... familiar. Many characters that don't appear in the movies are in this book such as: Glorfindel, Elladan, Elrohir, and Erestor. A/N: If you haven't read The Misfit I suggest you do so or you're going to be really confuzzled xD DISCLAIMER: I don't own any of Tolkiens work. I only own my characters which include, Peyton her family, Tathar, Ever, and many elves that you do not recognize as Tolkien's. The rest belongs to Tolkien as the world and a good majority of the characters are his and belong solely to him and his estate.
