This is THE ULTIMATE GUIDE to Harry Potter fanfictions. Here, you will learn the dos and don'ts of the wizarding world, and how to handle your fanfiction in a way worthy of Rowling herself. You can learn to avoid cliches, think creatively, and make your readers forget they're reading a fanfiction at all, which is the goal. Hi, I'm Ellie, and I may not be JKR, and my word is not law, I have quite a bit of experience writing fanfiction. I will be the first to admit, too, that some of my earlier works are as cliche as Harry Potter having a twin sister, and there's no shame in that! Just be glad you can learn from your mistakes, and mine, and be prepared for a couple of laughs along the way! Warning: This is NOT a rant book. I don't just say what I think is wrong with fanfics, I give suggestions to make them better. Very rarely will I let my emotions control what I'm writing in this book. Feel free to rant within the comments, but don't expect me to do the same!

Are you struggling for ideas, or not sure if you're writing is at it's best? This is everything I've learned about success with my fanfics, what works and what doesn't, and how to achieve popularity. Some of these tips can be used for other fanfics and stories too! "No, Percy! I promise, there's still good in you!" Annabeth said desperately. "I'm sorry, but you broke me, and I've come to return the favor." Percy replied, malice glinting in his eyes, as he drew Riptide. Your First Tip? Cliffhangers make good intros, so read on. (I'm trying out this new cover, so please, give feedback!)

Basically the title, but I have a twist from the ordinary: be sure to check it out! Cover art from the wiki I, of course, am not Tui T. Sutherland, and I did not write Wings of Fire, and have no claim to the series or any of the characters, places, plots, or other ideas
