The unnamed company that had a hand in blood-fueled machines, wanting to avoid controversy and damage to their reputation, changed their name. From there, they scrapped the projects of blood-fueled machines. Very few machines remain in the world, with some being auctioned off or being reused for spare parts. Said company decided to begin manufacturing oil-fueled machines instead. Though, that may have been the root of humanity's downfall.
