Harry is at the Quidditch World Championship with the Weasleys, when they encounter the Malfoys. Somewhere during the encounter, a stray bludger makes its way into their stand and hits harry pushing him over the edge of the arena. Dazed and confused, Harry flailed in the air but with the ground rapidly approaching, he closed his eyes and awaited impact, only to have someone grab his arm and pull him onto a broom. When he looked to see who it was he got the shock of his life. Viktor had a feeling that something would go wrong at the match today. He felt it for days on end. What happens when he watches as a small male gets hits with a bludger and falls into the arena. Well he catches the boy. And let's just say, he could not quite resist the emerald green eyes that stared up at him. (Harry is a 6th year in this fanfic, and Viktor is a seventh. Their relationship is perfectly legal.)

One summer day, he sees Voldemort on his neighbor's roof. And it all came crashing down. And who was he to intervene? Every damned time he did, the person ended up dead or injured. Cedric, Sirius, and countless other friends had suffered under his supervision. There had been a rumor going around the church that every night exactly at twelve o'clock, there was a sentient being that roamed the building, searching for victims to possess and kill. Eddie hadn't believed them until they caught it on camera one night. The security cam showed a person who had broken in apparently and was on the hunt to steal some stuff. Suddenly, there was a huge, black creature that had sprung out of nowhere and had dispatched the robber with one bite, eagerly scooping up the rest to eat after severing the person's head. And that was on camera. Everyone had seen it. Now of course there were people who speculated that it could have been a joke, but the security footage didn't lie. Limbs and parts were flung around, the demon obviously enjoying its hunt, gruesome sounds and images embedded into Eddie's brain. And that demon was huge. On camera, it seemed like it's head would touch the ceiling in the office where the man went to steal. Of course there wasn't a very good image of it as it almost always showed the back of the creature, but still! Eddie shuddered. Imagine if he got caught by that thing!
