Hi my name is Dyl its not short for anything, but it's a cool name to have anyway I'm sixteen years old, but it doesn't matter because everyone knows me as the little sister to the so called hottest guys who walked the planet and they see that as a ticket to get to my brothers. Although I just think of them as the annoying over protective brothers that I see everyday. My older brothers Peak, Ryden, Aaron, and Blaise who is my twin but older than me by fifteen minutes; don't let me date because they scare everyone who looks my way. I haven't even had my first kiss shoot I don't even get any hugs from a guy since I went into high school. Yet the only person who has guts to try to flirt with me is the new kid Chance who I met in my chemistry class saying 'he likes them feisty' because I didn't want to make his big head any bigger by drooling over him like every chick in that class. I mean c'mon he is just a new kid who happens to be hot-- ahem yea he looks decent enough, but did I mention my brother Blaise is in the class also. Why can't I flirt with a guy without my brothers scaring them. UGH!

Jessica Aubry is your typical 17 year-old high school student. She goes to school and has to deal with troublesome teachers, backstabbing friends and mountains of homework. But there is something that sets her apart from her peers; her entire family was brutally butchered when she was 12. An orphaned child, Jessica was taken in by a young boy who seemed to need parents as much as she did. Haden Carter, her now 19-year old guardian is a mystery. Tall, handsome and quiet; Jessica knows there’s something below the surface. How is it a 19 year old can afford to lead such an affluent life? How did he, when he was 14, get custody of a 12 year old? Why does he disappear at nights only to reappear haggard and depressed? Naturally, there’s only one solution, right? Jessica’s guardian must be a sexy, brooding vampire! But alas, she’s not so lucky! Her guardian is far more...complicated than that. The appearance of an almost familiar stranger sets Jessica’s life whirling 180 degrees. She begins doubting her guardian and questions why she was the sole survivor the night her family was murdered. Jessica never wanted a complicated life. No, she was perfectly content being a typical high school kid. But fate had other plans for her. Jessica is about to discover what life is really made of; some sugar, some spice and a pinch of fantasy.

'When I looked in the mirror all I saw was her; brown wavy hair that fell comfortably down her tall slender body, her soft freckled face and even her ice-blue eyes. I felt something move deep in the pit of my stomach. I couldn’t do this anymore. It was all too hard; I simply couldn’t live without her. I had never spent more than a day of my 16 years of life away from her, how am I supposed to do it now? Suddenly anger washed through me. I felt it urge through my veins reaching every nook and cranny in my body. It pulsed through my right arm, causing me to smash the over-size mirror that sat right in my face. I merely stood there as all the sharp shards of glass washed over me. I couldn’t care less if it ripped me to shreds; I had nothing now my twin was gone.' i was bored its crap, get over it XD

It was pity that first made Dannie speak to him. She had known Ryan since she was a kid, but he had always been the popular Golden Boy, and she had always been the tomboy that didn’t mind not having any friends. It was odd, she had thought, that all the popular kids who had once kissed the ground he walked on, didn’t so much spared him a glance anymore, and it was this that made her sit with him that one faithful day and begin something that would only end up causing her pain.
