So what happens when she finds herself unexpectedly "married" to her handsome, popular, longtime-crush, Luke Patterson? She is about to find out. When she and Luke are randomly paired up to work on a project together for their Reproductive Health class, they have to learn to navigate the world of adulthood side-by-side for better or worse. All while dealing with the reality and drama of high school. Julie quickly discovers she's not as invisible as she once thought she was, especially to Luke. Does extra time spent together mean sparks will finally fly between them, or will it all go up in flames? Note: Most of the characters aren't mine, but the story is. They've always gone to the same school, always lived across the street from each other, always done everything together. Until the summer before 9th grade. After a situation involving the police, Julie has to attend a boarding school and stay with her tia. After almost 3 years she's finally back. Her friends and family couldn't be happier. Especially Luke.

After an alarming incident, Julie's dad (the King), assigned her and Carlos each a knight to keep them safe for the first time in their lives. Carlos is fine with it, but Julie is not exactly thrilled with having a strange brooding boy follow her everywhere- especially when she's still trying to find her place in the kingdom after the death of her mom. It's not easy to figure out who you are and pick up pieces of who you were when someone is breathing down your neck, and she makes sure Luke and her dad (the King) know how how she feels. Her dad (the King), won't budge and lets Luke keep his post despite all of Julie's efforts to get him sent away.
