Many think of this story as childish; they'd laugh it off as just a fairy tale that was told to children who couldn't fall asleep in the depth of the night. However, to her... It's a story that has been her dream ever since she was little. A strange new girl has transferred to Ouran Academy; she is strange for two reasons. One, she is an apparent airhead, clueless and unknowing to the world around her. Two, she shares the 'Suoh' family name, Suoh Miki. Akari Sakahashi goes by Crystal to those she is close with... which is essentially no one. The young heiress transferred into Ouran during middle school from St.Marie's Academy and has been there for three years, despite that she hasn't really made one close friend just many acquaintances. The seventeen year old doesn't particularly mind, she has other things to be concerned with, but fate seems to have other ideas. With the simple choice of deciding to go right instead of left a domino effect occurs causing Crystal to get swept up into new friendships. Of course obstacles appear, favors are asked, and our young protagonist gets wrapped up in drama as if her life was written by some amateur writer who enjoys tv way too much. Despite all this she is determined to make it out alive, and for once, happy. Anime episodes will not be included, instead I've taken some creative liberty and began the story after Honey and Mori graduate. There will be some references to the manga just as an FYI so if anything is unclear feel free to comment and ask or there's always google! Aspects have been pulled from the original story, 'The cupcake girl', but it's not copy and pasted. I've only pulled some of the ideas I had in that one

This story is the brainchild of someone far too in love with Hatori's character development of Hikaru to let it end where it did. Please forgive her. With loneliness overcoming Hikaru he ends up going to the new club, where a newfound love will try and find Hikaru love that isn't herself. Neighbors agree, friends agree, her father agrees, grandparents agree and heck, even the pets could agree at this point. Deciding to prove them all wrong - she takes charge. Doing it the lady way, the unisex name changes from Jun, a female to Jun, a male. Dressing up as a boy and getting into Ouran. It wasn't all that hard, until she bumped into the host club. Accidentally breaking a statue that was on display in the music room, her families debt gets deeper. Yet again, she takes charge and does it the lady way, agreeing to become a host to get her and her family out of this debt, and show her brother that she can do this too. The thing is, she came in as a boy and that's what they'll know her as until the day comes when they all find out. No matter what, she'll continue to do it the lady way.
