Because Jacob's in prison. Jacob's like a secret- a murderer with far more lethal secrets than anyone else alive. Well, excluding Fitton. Of course, secrets work differently than they do in other places. If one secret is revealed, then another one is hidden. So in this case, Jacob was revealed and captured. So what was hidden in his place? Is it more dangerous than Fitton and Jacob? People that Fitz, Sophie, Audrey, Donovan, Benen, and Laurel know and have begun to love like family begin to teeter between white and black- good and bad.
