Zac Carter had spent one week out of every year at Emily Dawson's house since he was fifteen. It was the week his parents had their 'alone' time as they liked to call it. He was thinking of bailing on it this year, telling them he was old enough to be on his own for a week. Then he remembered sad, strange Emily who he's had a crush on for the longest time. That made him want to stay there just so he could try and figure her out. Follow the story of Emily and Zach as they discover that sometimes things arent quite what they seem.

"I love you, Ashton" I whispered to his sleeping face, being careful so he doesn't hear. Quickly kissing him on the cheek, I run away knowing that he can't know, and he will never know. I'm in love with my bestfriend. "Diana?" Ashton's voice stops me. Tears threaten to fall down, but I push them away. "Yes?" "Could you please call Mel?" He replies. I nod and walk away.

As I looked around the small group, I realized that these were the people that I had no choice but to depend on for awhile, and one of them was going to get hurt. It didn't matter if we did everything right, someone was bound to get hurt in this game and I couldn't help but to feel like it would be all my fault.

There are two things Harper Lynch wasn't expecting when she made out with an attractive stranger at her aunt's wedding. One: He would show up on her doorstep two weeks later as the son of an old family friend. Two: That he would be staying in her house, right next door to her. If living together isn't enough, Duke starts to go to Harper's school for the year, and immediately earns the status of the senior heartthrob. Suddenly, Harper, the girl who keeps mostly to herself and spends a lot of time in her room watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer marathons, is the envy of every girl in her high school. Harper couldn't care less, and despite that fact that she has insisted that she has in no interest in Duke, she is still subject to the wrath of jealous, catty bitches and the admiration of wide-eyed freshmen. It really doesn't help that Duke is constantly flirting with her in his own irritating yet charming way. Harper refuses to be yet another conquest, but is that what Duke wants? Or does he want more?
