Long ago, the four nations were engaged in war. But everything changed when the Fire Nation splits in half. With Fire Lord Ozai slain, Prince Zuko now takes the throne as Princess Azula regroups in Ba Sing Sae with Ozai loyalists to conquer and attempt to take the Fire Nation throne back. The hunt for the Avatar's friends begin again. This time in a quest for allyship to liberate the Earth Kingdom from Azula's tyrannical pull. But allyship is never easy and the quest for peace has never been harder to achieve. (Takes place after the end of Book Two and is rewritten from there. Extreme Canon Divergence. What if Zuko convinced Azula that what she's doing is wrong, being feared and powerful can only destroy her from the inside. Only to run as their only option, to run from the fire nation, fearing their fathers wrath of betrayal. But one day they run into a old woman who promised them safety and shelter... Hama. Don't trust her. She loathes fire benders and being the prince and princess of the fire nation, the old woman holds them hostage in a dungeon with other prisoners but they get far more worst... When the gaang meets Hama, will they save all of the prisoners? What then?

The war is over. However, barely a week has passed since Team Avatar ended it. Now, they are all trying to acclimatize to the new world and their new responsibilities. Katara and Zuko have shared many experiences. Still, there are some mutual feelings between them that were left unexplored, ignored and put on hold in order to focus on the bigger picture. They are even technically involved with other people, despite their clear connection to each other. When the start of a new era and Zuko's search for his mother finds them working closer than ever before, those feelings finally start coming to light. The only question left to be settled is whether or not they will be able to deal with them. Or: My really slow burn / slow build Zutara take on Zuko's search for his mom.

So I have another Zutara fan fic but its different and doesn't align with the show so here's another one. This does NOT align with LOK tho. Only ATLA:) Katara opens up to Zuko about problems she's having with Aang. Will this mean a deeper relatioship for them?

Would palace life be easy? Would I miss the Southern Water Tribe? Is walking around with a crown in your top knot really that important? I was about to find out. Katara, was a Chiefs daughter in the Southern Water Tribe. With one sibling and a best friend in a completely different nation life was pretty averagely simple for her. Apart from one thing She was Prince Zuko of the Fire Nation's soon to be wife, arranged by her parents. Zuko, was a Prince. He got everything he wanted with a move of his hand, his country was warm, he bent and he bent well, he had a sister who was pretty awesome at times and a mother and father who loved him. What more could he ask for?

"Once bound by fire, Now by water. When they collide, Both are destroyed. Not just them, but so much more" Their love was already dismissed before they had a chance.
