My whole life is 'have to.' I have to work full-time to pay the bills and keep food on the table. I have to finish college for a chance at a better job, no matter how long it takes. I have to manage my mom's sobriety so I can keep her out of jail. I have to keep a smile on my face, so no one knows how hard it's been. Now, I have to ignore the curious feelings that flutter in my chest whenever my devastatingly handsome new English professor, Fitzwilliam Benedict, is nearby. Of course, that's kind of impossible because I have to face his storm-tossed eyes and broad shoulders in class every other evening if I want to graduate with my perfect grade-point intact. And it's getting harder to ignore the way his thoughtful gaze sees all the way down to the truth I don't want anyone to know. Our kismet connection is a major complication that could torpedo everything I've worked for...Or this could be the most valuable lesson, ever. 📚🎓 Just a heads up that this isn't fully edited (yet), so you may notice typos or spelling errors! I'm doing my bets (I hope at least some of you got that joke!!) to correct as I go...but you know how it goes, when you get on a roll you sometimes miss things 🙃

One day you're happy, and the next, a freak accident exposes your boyfriend's dirty little secrets in the worst possible way. I lost the man I loved, my trust in people, and my home in less than one afternoon. At least I know that I've pushed past unimaginable pain before, and I can do it again. Elijah didn't break me, just my heart. 💔🔨 So, the LAST thing I needed was to run into my ex's best friend, Gray on the street. Who cares if he's hotter than lava? Gray's a cocky jerk who seems to get a misguided kick out of making my blood boil. And did I mention the guy's got a chip on his tattooed shoulder even bigger than his inflated ego? Unfortunately, I just found out that I accidentally hired him to work on the BIGGEST campaign of my career!💀 But when Gray's prismatic eyes fill with heartfelt apologies, I don't know how to feel. It's messing with my mind, my career, my new friendships, and worst of all, it's hurting what's left of my ruined heart. I thought Gray hated me, but I was wrong...There is something much, much stronger that binds our fate. 🥊💕 This book contains adult themes (aka sexy stuff and trigger content) as well as Oxford commas and the occasional grammatical error. 🥊💕 **This is a complete story that I am currently in the process of editing, so feedback, notes, and helpful comments are always welcome. After an unexpected ceiling collapse sends her apartment into chaos, Madelaine Grayson ends up living with her brother - and dangerously close to his tattooed, way-too-charming roommate. He's off-limits... but resisting him might be impossible. *** When Madelaine Grayson's bathroom ceiling caves in, it's not just drywall that crumbles. It's her entire world. Forced to move in with her brother, she finds herself swept up in the chaos of his new protective attitude - especially when it comes to his tattooed roommate, Noah Laurier. Noah is the epitome of perfection: sweet, hot, and embedded into every thought Madelaine has. But he's forbidden, and the closer she gets, the harder he is to resist. Well... what her brother doesn't know can't hurt him, right? *** "Matt's sister, I presume?" He walks towards the couch and my eyes widen. He's tall. I thought I was tall but this man could tower me, and when he reaches a hand towards me, there's an intricate clock tattooed on the back of his hand and his fingers have bones tattooed over them. This man is not human. He's tall and angular and dripping with sex appeal. This man is hot. Capital H, capital O, capital T. I don't think I've ever seen a human being so attractive. All I can think about as I force myself to keep my eyes on the screen is the feel of his jaw beneath my hand, and it takes everything in me not to look

He'd spent years playing a long, calculated game of cat-and-mouse, waiting for the girl who called him a "narcissist" to realize she was the only trophy he actually wanted. ****** "You think you're so powerful because you can hit a ball? Diagnosed with terminal leukemia, she's told she may not live to see her nineteenth birthday. Until Joss Hartley, a new nurse, strolls into her room with a crooked smile and refuses to treat her like she's already gone. Joss is older. Handsome. The kind of person everyone in the ward crushes on. And Adrie hates him for it. For his optimism. His warmth. His persistence. But mostly, for making her laugh when she swore she wouldn't. Not when she's on borrowed time. In the end, how do you say hello to your first love, knowing you'll also have to say goodbye?
