My grandmother is a witch. My mother is a witch. My sisters are witches (one of them in more ways than one). And to my complete and utter shock, I'm a witch too. Still powerless. Of course, if a certain Prince of Hell has his way, I won't remain without magic for long, because no matter how stubborn I am, the clock is ticking closer to the day I have to fulfill my end of the deal. A deal I made to save my family and friends. I was hoping those same family members and friends would help me figure a way out of this predicament, but I'm beginning to think I can't count on anyone. Clemmy and Caly are still missing. Harmony remains loyal to Luis. Willow is acting strange, disappearing at odd times and keeping secrets. Even worse, Ash seems determined to become the bad boy everyone thinks he is. All hope is lost until I stumble upon a secret that sheds light on the past. I have one shot to stop this sham wedding from happening, but it's going to require a lot of faith in the people who have let me down.

Hypocrisy of society, however, dictates that those openly found to be lacking in virtue are outcast from the good graces of the well-to-do. . .If they're female, that is. . . Cassandra Antrucha played the game. She was the butterfly society dictated she be, but now, London demands that she wallow in the murk of their loathing. Cassandra, however, has never been one to bow and scrape, and what reason is there for her to start now? She has seen both sides of the fence now, and the desired ballroom pet she was before is gone. Forever. If she has anything to say about it, that is. But between a mother who wishes to destroy what little of her reputation is left, the wild moors of Scotland, and the darkness of her world at large, can she survive long enough to enjoy the life she has been given? And what can she do when she finds her heart yearning for a man who can never fulfill her youthful dreams? A devil men fear, an angel men desire. Can they come to terms with the love forming between them?

***This is my original work, and if anyone decides to steal it and post it anywhere else without specific permission, I will not hesitate to take legal action against you!!!!*** A girl to take home to one's mother with no fear of sharp disapproval. Sure, she was plain and dull, but she was the sort one could settle down with in a few years after the sowing of the wild oats was completed. . .if one could get past how plain and ordinary she was that is. In truth, Lady Lavinia Antrucha was nothing compared to her sister, Cassandra. She had neither beauty nor social notoriety. . .but at least she didn't leave a trail of broken hearts behind her. She's the one people go to when they're in trouble and don't know what to do, the one who is supposed to be the stronger of the two Antrucha girls, the one her parents expect will stay with them for the rest of their lives, because what man would want to marry plain, little Lavinia? The most sought after bachelor in all of Scotland, the life of any given party, that's what they named Laird Ethan Brodi. He was the toast of high society and the man every mother yearned to see on their doorstep, asking to see their fine daughter. He knew there was something more to life than petty women who couldn't see past his fine physique, and he intended to find it; that is, until his father decided he had spent enough time unmarried and forged an alliance with the rich Antruchas by promising him in marriage to the eldest daughter who would certainly match Ethan in good looks and fine tastes. As far as Ethan was concerned, Lady Cassandra Antrucha could take a long walk off a short pier, but his father's word was law, and so to England he must go to meet his future bride. Can he go through with a marriage when his heart yearns for another? #Wattys2016

****Copyrighted**** 'Tell me you don't feel it.' He whispered against my lips, and the trembling that had ceased at the feel of his lips against mine began again with renewed vigor. 'Tell me it's not what you want, and I'll go. You'll never have to see me again.' Swallowing, I looked up at the eyes that had entranced me from the start. I took in his every feature, slowly and deliberately. I thrilled at the feeling of his arms enfolding me, and I inhaled his familiar scent with a trembling breath. And then, then I did the most foolish thing imaginable: I flung my arms about his neck and kissed him with all that I had, almost losing myself in the safety and security I felt. But more than that, I ran. I took his moment of shock, the slight loosing of his arms about me, and tore myself away from him, shoving out the door and into the rain. I suppose I'll never know why he didn't follow me. It was the thing I feared most. I knew that if he came for me a second time, I wouldn't be able to say 'no'. I wouldn't be able to run. But I had to. I had to go. I couldn't let him be hurt because of me. He would live on now, and I would marry another. I had leased my last bit of passion in that one moment in his arms, and as I made my way through the dark streets, I felt myself become dull and lost like the creatures bound in the menagerie. **Much of this was written when I was younger and then I came back later and finished it. There will likely be mistakes. Lots of them.
