Gods, Ethereal as they are, reproduce exactly the same way as their frail corporeal counterparts, though with a few small differences. What is to humans an innocuous, repetitive, constantly occurring event, is to gods the single-most rare Cosmic Alignment of Fate and Order that can happen. That is to say, a god's Death is far more Common than a god's Birth. When a god is born, their niche, or Purview, of mortal life that they will command is decided, and for a period of a few decades, they feel the need to 'stretch their wings'. This story begins when a god of Games is born, to the Norse god Loki and another, ironic god, Ullr the Allfather, the god of the Hunt, who was the original Norse god of Games. - Caroline Skøll, a gargantuan farm-fed Texan Woman of 50 year's Young, proud mother of her children, (the Twins, as well as her many dozens of adopted or fostered children from around the world) who makes her living as a farmer and a Blacksmith, and has done so for 10 years, ever since she was 'retired' from her position as BUDS Training Command-Master-Chief Smythesson, after 23 long years of service. Teagan Skøll, House-husband of 30 years, a Professor of Chemistry from Sweden, has two daughters, whom he is very proud of, and who, interchangeably with their younger siblings, he takes with him on his many 'adventures', (or guest-lectures in other countries.) Thomas Skøll, female, 26, built exactly like her mother, at 6'8", named in the hope of at least one male twin, but mother was too stubborn to change it afterwards, currently following in her mother's footsteps as Blacksmith's Apprentice, and saving for Biochem School. Cassidy Skøll, female, 26, Identical to (Younger by twelve minutes)Sister, served 8 years in USN as a Navy Seal EOD/Commander of the Team based in Cairo, and was Honorably Discharged after an IED in Northern Egypt took her Legs and Right Hand.

The Alchemist is considered the most useless of all the 5 classes offered in the Virtual World of 'Hell's Gates'(Warrior, Archer, Mage, Cleric, and Alchemist). Having little to no Combat Skills, and relying on real-world Chemistry Knowledge (a Lost art of sorts,) to make anything more than the most basic potions, they are very rarely seen past the first or second level, because most people change their class after seeing its uselessness. Still, this class allows Sam to spread her literal and proverbial wings as a Chemist and Inventor in a world where such a skill set is actually very valuable! Of course, with the rarity and value of their skills comes a plethora of problems, and most don't last very long at all, but Sam is determined, damn it! Hopefully, being stubborn and lucky in equal portions will be enough to survive and thrive in the world of Hell's Gates? (((Complete!!! Perhaps there'll be a Book Two if this gets enough attention???)))

"A Young Genius, Allegedly Accused of ruining the International Trading Economy of America, China, Russia, England, and many more, overnight, with nothing but a Knife and an Apple, finds himself in a world he never dreamed of. Waking up in a mysterious room, in a forest I didn't recognize, after I was sure I was dead, was deeply disturbing. But it was when the first monster attacked me, that was when I realized... I was well and truly fucked. - The skills I'd had during my life were translated here as literal Skills, which were apparently the system of 'Magic' in this place, or something close to that. They could be learned, and they could be given, making this world even more different than I'd expected. But one big thing hadn't changed at all: In this Place, Rich people had the best stuff, which included skills, and they weren't shy about taking what they wanted from others.

In an alternate present, electricity was never fully cultivated, as another, far more powerful, type of power became common knowledge around the same time, that of Ether, previously known as 'Magic'. Those capable of gathering this power are known officially as 'Ether-Weavers', or 'Etherial Conduits', and unofficially as 'Mages'. As it is the cornerstone of modern warfare, economy, and power production, these people are in the highest of demand, and of course in need of proper guidance by the best of their craft. The countries that have been declared neutral are tasked with gathering and training these valuable assets for the warring states of the world... whether they like it or not.
