Kai Tomioka is the Ice Hashira. She is the younger sister of the late Tsutako Tomioka and the Water Hashira, Giyu Tomioka. She looked a lot like them with the same blue eyes and messy, black hair (not as messy as Giyu's) tied in a loose ponytail which would never be neat no matter how much you tried! Regardless your messy hair, you used your sister's favourite ribbon to tie your hair as a tribute to her. When her sister died protecting her and her brother, her brother was sent to live with a relative who was a doctor. After all this something in her parents changed, causing them to beat her and abuse her until one night, they were turned into demons making her run away. She was merely a child so after a few hours of running she collapsed. There she were found by a man known as Sakonji Urokodaki, a boy named Sabito and surprisingly her brother!
