Cara’s mother has disappeared. Her father isn’t talking about it. Her big brother Max is hiding behind his iPod, and her genius little brother Jackson is busy studying the creatures he collects from the beach. But when a watery specter begins to haunt the family’s Cape Cod home, Cara and her brothers realize that their scientist mother may not be who they thought she was—and that the world has much stranger, much older inhabitants than they had imagined. With help from Cara’s best friend Hayley, the three embark on a quest that will lead them from the Cape’s hidden, ancient places to a shipwreck at the bottom of the sea. They’re soon on the front lines of an ancient battle between good and evil, with the terrifying “pouring man” close on their heels. One chapter will be posted Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays until all 10 chapters are up. These will be followed by the second book in the series, The Shimmers in the Night. A Junior Library Guild Pick; Kirkus Reviews Best of 2011; Selected for the ABC Best Books for Children Catalog; Locus Notable Books.

Order 66 has been long passed. The Jedi, for the most part, have been exterminated, and the Empire has stretched over vast areas of the galaxy. Yet the Empire has not completely obliterated the Jedi. Kemberli Wan-Oba, a young human girl, has been brought up on Aetheria, a small planet in the Outer Rim, by a surviving Jedi Knight known as Yurlon Batado. For over a decade they have escaped detection. This peace cannot last, however, and Darth Vader himself arrives to destroy the only world Kemberli has ever known. He kills Master Batada and leaves Kemberli alive with the ominous choice of "die, or join the dark side." Alone, unsure, desperate, Kemberli falls to the dark side.... And begins a life she never imagined as the apprentice of Darth Vader. But the dark side is full of mystery, and while it gives Kemberli power she has never dreamed of, it begins to show her shadows of the past she has never known...

“A breathtaking new epic fantasy series. Morgan Rice does it again! This magical saga reminds me of the best of J.K. Rowling, George R.R. Martin, Rick Riordan, Christopher Paolini and J.R.R. Tolkien. I couldn’t put it down!” --Allegra Skye, Bestselling author of SAVED The epic coming of age story of one special boy, a 14 year old from a small village in the Kingdom of the Ring. The youngest of four, the least favorite of his father, hated by his brothers, Thorgrin senses he is different from the others. He dreams of becoming a great warrior, of joining the King’s men and protecting the Ring from the hordes of creatures on the other side of the Canyon. When he comes of age and is forbidden by his father to try out for the King’s Legion, he refuses to take no for an answer: he journeys out on his own. But King’s Court is rife with its own power struggles, ambitions, jealousy, violence and betrayal. King MacGil must choose an heir from amongst his children, and the ancient Dynasty Sword, the source of all their power, still sits untouched, waiting for the chosen one to arrive. Thorgrin arrives as an outsider and battles to be accepted, and to join the King’s Legion. Thorgrin comes to learn he has a special gift, and a special destiny. He falls in love with the king’s daughter, and as he struggles to make sense of his powers, the king’s sorcerer takes him under his wing and tells him of a mother he never knew, in a land far away, beyond the Canyon, beyond even the land of the Dragons. With its sophisticated world-building and characterization, A QUEST OF HEROES is an epic tale of friends and lovers, of rivals and suitors, of knights and dragons, of intrigues and political machinations, of coming of age, of broken hearts, of deception, ambition and betrayal. It is a tale of honor and courage, of fate and destiny, of sorcery. It is a fantasy that brings us into a world we will never forget, and which will appeal to all ages and genders.

Thousands of years after Return of the Jedi, the new Jedi Order is thriving...until darkness returns. Nearly all of the Jedi are killed. Three of the survivors are Ty Ron Coe, a young Jedi Knight who hasn't quite found his place in the world yet, Onia Skywalker, Jedi Grand Master and descendant of Luke and Anakin, and Mai-ee, Onia's new Padawan. Soon Mai-ee is captured by the returning Sith. Can Onia and Ty Ron rescue her? Or will Mai-ee give in to the torture? **Note: rated PG-13 for somewhat darker images however is not terribly graphic and is not inappropriate. Also once I finish I will be doing a rewrite so bear with me if the chapters are a bit disjointed.** *currently undergoing complete rewrite*

***SEQUEL TO THE PIPER'S SONG*** Pan's different. Since killing the shadow man, he's gained his powers. He has a new army, and this time, it's not Henry's heart that he wants but the love and affection from his lost girl, Anna. Her destiny means everything to him and he's going to make sure it's fulfilled even if it means withholding her memories. Not only that but the souls of everyone on the island are at risk of being taken and the price to save them all may just be too much to pay... "That night I felt something different for the first time...I saw something in you, Peter, a way out--you don't have to do things like this, you were already winning me over before you altered everything, before you became so dark..." She paused once more, clinging her hardest to the hope that Peter felt something from her words. Beginning to fondle her heart, Pan appeared as though he were contemplating all that she had said. "You're right..." he suddenly replied. Anne's breath fell from her lips with relief. Pan then approached her, intimately gazing into her eyes. "I don't have to do things like this..." his gaze then suddenly darkened into sheer coldness and ice, alerting chills to race down Anne's back. "I want to." With that, he shoved his hand into her chest. (Completed)
