A moment of Serendipity, a lucky occurrence on the day before Tsutako Tomioka's wedding, has tied the lives of Tomioka Giyuu and Kocho Shinobu, as well as the people around them. As a child Giyuu was enthusiastic, a happy child who loves food just below as to how much he loves his sister, Tsutako. He was kind and open, and that attitude of his made him help out a small girl, crying and lost in an alleyway. Kocho Shinobu accidentally got lost while with her family moments ago, and she accepted Giyuu's help, or as she calls him, "Giyuu-nii" to find her parents. But along the way, she finds herself captivated to this strange boy's smiles, a feeling her young mind could not yet comprehend, but it made her heart warm and made her smile wider herself. The boy tried to stand up to its power, but stood absolutely no chance. He would have suffered the same cruel fate as his family had he not been saved from the monster by a mysterious swordsman and his newly demonic sister. Now Tanjiro sets himself on a quest to become a Demon Slayer in order to restore the girl's humanity. Over the course of his journey he suffers constant hardship, intolerance, failure, defeat, and loss. However along the way he gains a new purpose in life and meets people who matter to him. Especially a quiet girl with a butterfly hair pin. The boy also gets involved with the politics of the world and learns the history of a lost empire that holds the keys towards destroying the demon king once and for all.

I was so useless, I couldn't do anything, except quake before this man, no devil, in fear. Hello, this fan fiction is going to be where Tanjiro becomes a demon, instead of Nezuko. Before reading this I am going to tell you that this fan fiction will take a totally different path than the anime/manga does. He tried to collect the courage to confess to her, but he ran out of time. They fell into the Infinity Castle starting the last battle. When he found out Shinobu didn't make it, he was heartbroken. He felt rage. He was mad at the demons, he was mad at the world. Why did they have to take the one person who gave him hope and joy away? -ˋˏ ༻❁༺ ˎˊ- After the war he couldn't live with himself. Was it his fault? Would he ever see her again? Why didn't he just take the chance to confess to her when he could? He tried to smile and be happy, but he wasn't. What else could he do? He only wanted Shinobu back.... He opened up to people he cared about, and he smiled for Shinobu. What if he saw Shinobu again? No that's crazy....that would never happen.....
