With plenty of struggles, 𝐘𝐔𝐙𝐔𝐊𝐈 𝐁𝐀𝐘𝐀 and 𝐒𝐇𝐔𝐍𝐓𝐀𝐑𝐎̄ 𝐂𝐇𝐈𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐘𝐀 made it out of the Borderlands safely. Now their lives are becoming peaceful. At least, as peaceful as life gets with three kids. Chishiya was convinced he'd never experience something worse than being buried alive, but when his youngest daughter 𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐀 starts to show a little too much interest in Arisu and Usagi's son-𝐊𝐀𝐄𝐃𝐄-, he begins to long for the coffin again. In ancient myths, realms like the underworld are never truly destroyed; they only get put 'to sleep' by powerful anchors- linchpins, for example. So when the linchpin's oldest son gets too close to the everlasting playing cards, he 𝐰𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐬 something familiar.

For 𝐘𝐔𝐙𝐔𝐊𝐈 𝐁𝐀𝐘𝐀, all worlds contain dangerous elements- though she might even be safer in the Borderlands; the laws she broke don't apply here. 𝐒𝐇𝐔𝐍𝐓𝐀𝐑𝐎̄ 𝐂𝐇𝐈𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐘𝐀 knows about her actions all too well. He's not interested in redemption, yet something about her piques his curiosity. Perhaps the fact that her illegal activities affected him on a daily basis. Once they enter the Borderlands, they pretend not to know each other. But both of them are always keeping a sharp eye out. Die tödlichen Spiele gehen in die nächste Runde. Die Bildkarten fordern die Teilnehmer mehr heraus als jemals zuvor und dezimieren die Überlebenden auf ein Minimum. Doch was ist mit Sayuuri und Yuudai geschehen. Ihr ehemals bester Freund richtete eine Waffe auf sie und ein unsäglicher Schmerz machte sich in ihr breit. Wird sie sterben oder ihren Weg zurück zu Chishiya finden?

Akari und Miyu sind seit ihrer Ankunft in Borderland Dealer. Das Blut unzähliger klebt an ihren Händen und es fällt ihnen immer schwerer ein „normales" Leben im Beach zu führen. Während der Hutmacher versucht den Militärtrupp in den Griff zu bekommen, planen Akari und Miyu ihren Ausbruch aus dem Spiel und geraten dabei nicht nur in die Arme von Niragi und Chishiya, sondern auch in die der Spielemacher.

Arakida Sayuuri wacht in Tokyo auf und kann keine Menschenseele entdecken. Sie begreift schnell die Spielregeln des Borderlands und schlägt sich immer gerade so durch, bis sie zum "Beach" gelangt. Und da scheinen ihre Probleme erst richtig los zu gehen, vor allem mit Chishiya und Niragi.
