One of Morgarath's most trusted allies has managed to escape the hands of the Ranger Corps for two years, a problem that is so concerning, King Duncan has threatened to reevaluate the Corps members if this man goes unchecked. And Gilan finds himself in the heart of the enemy's camp. Will Gilan escape to tell Halt? If he does, can the two of them, along with a few others from the Corps, track down this enemy and finally capture him?
