When Myrtle's housekeeper is a murder suspect, she swears to Myrtle that she's squeaky clean. It's easy for fellow citizens to get on your nerves in sleepy Southern towns like Bradley, North Carolina. Particularly when one of the citizens is something of a cheapskate. Amos Subers isn't one to tip waiters, pay back a loan, or behave generously with family. When it's discovered that penny-pinching Amos was actually quite wealthy, it hardly engenders goodwill in the small town ... in fact, he's heartily disliked. Octogenarian sleuth Myrtle Clover's housekeeper is certainly no fan of his: Amos owes Puddin money for cleaning his house. It's not too surprising when Amos is later found, murdered, in his kitchen. Myrtle and her senior sidekick Miles resolve to track down the killer when Puddin becomes a prime suspect...and before the murderer strikes again.

Detective Sara Collins, a seasoned investigator with a reputation for solving cold cases, is assigned to a case that has haunted Baltimore for decades: the unsolved murder of a young woman named Lila Harper, whose body was found floating in the harbor in 1989. The case was sensationalized due to Lila's connections to a prominent political family, but it was quickly buried and forgotten. As Sara digs into the case, she uncovers a web of corruption involving the city's elite, who went to great lengths to cover up the truth. Lila was not just another victim; she had been working on a secret project involving the restoration of an old, abandoned tavern in Fell's Point, a building rumored to have ties to Baltimore's dark past. Sara's investigation takes her to Fell's Point, where she meets a variety of colorful characters, including a grizzled bartender who claims to have seen Lila on the night of her death, and an eccentric historian obsessed with the tavern's history. The more Sara learns about Lila, the more she realizes that the young woman was on the verge of exposing something explosive before she was killed.

Celeste Gray thought it would be nice to stay in a cabin in the woods. Being able to be alone, left with her thoughts, finding nature, and the nice cozy feeling of warmth were what she needed. Which led her to book/rent out a cabin for the whole month of December. Spending the holidays alone shouldn't be too bad. I mean, there's a reason she's alone in the first place; this is what she needed to move on with her life. So everything should be fine. Celeste was wrong about that because the moment she decided to take that trail in the woods, she knew she fucked up. Especially when she saw Santa Clause, not dropping off gifts, not with his reindeer or his sleigh, but standing over a dead body. She just saw Santa kill someone. Ji-Cheol Kim is not your average man, he does something for a living that is not for everyone, but someone has to do it, especially when it's getting justice in a way for people who deserve justice done that way. He was doing his job, which he is very good at when someone who wasn't supposed to be there ended up being there. Now his plans have changed, which led him to do something he doesn't mind doing, finally being able to spend the holidays with someone. Even if the person doesn't want that, she has no choice but to accept it. Neither of them was expecting this to happen. Two people from different worlds who ended up bumping into each other are now spending the holidays together. This was far from being a Christmas miracle. An adventure she'd asked for, being a murder suspect? Not really. Introverted yet brilliant (former) accountant Aileen Mackinnon ditched her risk-less life in the city for the village of Loch Fuar, nestled in the picturesque Scottish Highlands. Now she's the co-owner of her Gran's inn, Dachaigh, and an amateur innkeeper to ten new guests. But when one of her guests doesn't turn up for breakfast and the other tethers over the window sill, Aileen finds herself in deep waters, especially with the handsome local detective. One man show, Detective Inspector Callan Cameron couldn't be happier- finally a murder if not two! The only issue- he's forced to join forces with the new innkeeper in town. What could be more horrible than having a partner? A partner Callan loves to argue with? A partner that gels with his detection style seamlessly? Between bloody murders and stolen rings, the tension is high, so is the heat. They might not always see eye to eye, but can they agree: whodunnit?
