Following the defeat of Malefor at the hands of Spyro and Cynder, the young dragons have awoken to find themselves alive, in a brilliant new world. Three years after the defeat of The Dark Master, Spyro and Cynder are reunited; but life hasn't gotten any more peaceful. A crystal of dark power is taken from Warfang, and Spyro and Cynder are the best two dragons to find out the truth. But are they simply being played? Every move they make now seems to have been expected by an ingenious enemy, and the more they learn the more it seems as if they've been playing this game all their lives. Just how far do these plans go? What is their aim?
