The Rookie 9, Team Gai, and their respective senseis are going out on a bonding, "get to know each other," vacation trip for the week. Luckily for Naruto, this is happening around the time of the Kyuubi's Defeat Festival, so he'll be away when the villagers try to play their favorite game known as "the fox hunt." Naruto is nervous and hopes that this trip won't reveal too much of himself. They are headed to a cabin in the Forest of Wandering Souls, just at the border of the Land of Fire. Legend has it that the forest holds the spirits of those who have died in the Land of Fire, and have "one last wish" before they can be at peace. What if legend wasn't so far fetched as it seemed, and the spirits of the Forest of Wandering Souls lingered in its depths. Because of the Fourth Great Ninja War, of the deity named Kaguya, the world almost came to an end. However, something odd happened; the past came right before their eyes, and they were living in it. When Kurama came to his senses, he saw Konoha, a masked man, Kushina, and the Fourth Hokage standing at the Hokage Monument, studying his every move. We don't have to follow Fate's path like a strict rule book. We're shinobi--things like this," he gestured to Naruto, "are bound to happen. The Fourth Hokage's body was never found, but they never suspected that was because he hadn't died. Minato Namikaze wakes up six years after the devastating Kyuubi attack, alone in an overgrown clearing with not a scratch on him. Disoriented and confused, he does exactly what any father would do in this situation. He fights through the pain, gets up, and goes to find his son. He trudges through the pounding in his head and forces himself to move-- to go and find him, because that masked man was still out there, and Minato is willing to do anything to protect his little ball of sunshine. Needless to say, the blonde kage wasn't expecting so much time to have passed. Nor is he very impressed with the way the village has been treating his son all these years.

Team 7 is sent on a mission to investigate a disturbance outside of the village, where they encounter an unconscious girl in a crater. The mysterious Sarada insists she's a shinobi from the Hidden Leaf trying to rescue her teammates, but something about her is suspicious. When the team discovers she possesses a Sharingan, things become even more unbelievable.

You can't stop the flow of time. Its wheel only whirls in one direction. It is impossible for a mere human to change that path. But sometimes the impossible must be done... Naruto time travel fanfiction.

Listen, I didn't want to do this, but it stayed in my mind and now here we are. Basically, Team 7 vs. Kaguya, final smack down. Then suddenly POOF they're twelve again and waiting to meet their sensei on team assignment day. With no way to get back they decide to stop the war before it begins, and maybe save some people along the way. But they're twelve, how are they supposed to do that? Naruto fought to bring sasuke back, a badly injured Naruto drags sasuke's unconscious body back to Konoha. He wasn't expecting a warm welcome but he wasn't expecting things to go bad either. It wasn't going any better in fact it took a turn for the worst.
