•Exulansis: the tendency to give up trying to talk about an experience because people are unable to relate to it •Sciamachy: a battle against imaginary enemies, against your own shadow. •Eccedentesiast: a person who fakes a smile For some people, this is how we cope with life. In three words, how we live is described. But I'm here to make sure our story is described with more words. More feeling. I'm here to make sure you know that you're not alone and your life can be described in more than three words. Words that make you feel like the sun is kissing you in the middle of winter, which is Apricity. Words that make the storm your living in feel like a light drizzle of rain, which is Sirimiri. Words that go into your ear sounding like wind against trees, which is Psithurism. I'm an addressing Numinous (describing experiences that make you fearful yet awed.) So here is my gift to you, my adoxography (beautiful writing of a subject little talked about). Here are my poems. This book is a compilation of narratives and mainly descriptives that I wrote as practice work for my IGCSE First Language English course. They are mostly unreviewed and I do not claim that they will achieve top band marks. However, it will be helpful in understanding the basic format I followed to produce stories and descriptions. Leave any requests in comments or contact me and I'll do my best to answer.

This is a compilation of all the essays and notes I wrote while I was in ALevels. It must be noted that not all of of these are A* material (though none goes lower than a grade B) so they aren't meant to be copy pasted for your school assignments. Use them as a review or to learn more about the novels, plays and poems you are analysing. Feel free to discuss and critique all the essays in this compilation, it'll help you learn new ideas and broaden your perspective of the material. Communication is the key! This is solely for helping ALevel literature students as I remember the pain of not being able to find enough reference material on the web, if you want to contribute to it feel free to message me it would be much appreciated. This includes essays and notes on the following texts: 1. Robert Frost's selected poems 2. The Namesake by Jhumpa Lahiri 3. Philadelphia Here I Come! by Brian Friel 4. Sweet Bird of Youth by Tennessee Williams 5. Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen 6. The Winter's Tale by William Shakespeare 7. Americanah by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie 8. The Glass Menagerie by Tennessee Williams

You're someone who just wants to know a little bit more about the living world around you or your green neighborhood, plants. Good news . . . this book is your oyster! Read it at your leisure, starting with whatever topic fascinates you most. I include several examples of how biology impacts everyday life to help keep your interest piqued. If biology is the study of life and life is so complex, then you may be wondering where to even begin in your study of biology. Never fear. This part breaks down the all-encompassing field of biology into smaller, more palatable chunks. First, we take a look at the living world and then explain exactly how biology is studied (hint: the scientific method is a huge part of it). Next, we give you a review of the types of molecules that are important to a cell's functioning (yes, this means delving into some basic chemistry; sorry!). Then we spotlight the most basic unit of life - the cell. Every organism, whether it's a human, a dog, a flower, a strep throat bacterium, or an amoeba, has at least one cell (most actually have millions). Finally, because cells need energy to function, we explain just where that energy comes from. Biology is the study of living things - how they reproduce, how they change and respond to the environment, and how they obtain the energy and matter they need to grow. One goal of this part is to immerse you in the world of biology so you can understand how biologists go about studying living things and know what chemical components make up all forms of life. Living things with many cells, like you, are made up of organ systems, organs, tissues, and cells. Cells are the smallest entities that show all the properties of life, so that's where we begin zeroing in on things. The other goal of this part is to acquaint you with the structure of cells and how they obtain the energy they need to function.
